Tanja Devereaux was seen in her hotel room in front of her computer; working an article for the paper she freelanced for from time to time back in New Orleans: The New Orleans Picayune. She saved her work and looked up from the computer and focused herself on the mobile camera that she had set up for her Asylum promotional.
“Things did not go well for the Bayou Witch in her debut match at the opening match in the PPV against Logan Traeger but that is in the past.” She paused. “I have sat down and took in the positives and negatives from the footage so I can see how I can adapt and succeed in my future for So-Cal Violent.”
Tanja smirked as she took note of the two opponents that she was facing on the latest edition of Asylum.
“Madison Tempest may be a woman that is very much an enigma and people don’t know much about her.” Tanja smirked for a brief moment. “She isn’t the only one that can be concerned as an enigma in this match. I may show people in front of the camera as a very feisty and energetic woman but I rarely show some parts of my personality for fans or my colleagues in the business to see on camera. It is something that people will always try to find and nitpick over but it is something that I will never change for the world.”
Tanja paused for a moment as she nodded politely to the lens of the camera.
“It is very respectable that Madison did her research about what I bring to a match.” Tanja smiled. “Yes I am a submission and technical specialist inside the ring and I use these skills in many different ways, depending on the style of match that I am in and the type of people that I am facing.” Tanja paused for a moment. “Yes I admit that the hard hitting and striking skills that Logan Traeger had brought to our match at the PPV found a way to overwhelm my more submission skill set but that does not mean I will learn to adapt to my environment, learning to get better along the way.”
The Cajun is heard giving a light and lilting chuckle that filled the room as she was about to bring up the other opponent in the triple threat match and familiar foe for Tanja, Damon Xalvador.
“Damon Xalvador, we cross paths again inside of the ring but this time it is with another company.” Tanja chuckles lightly. “We have had a vicious and bloody clash during our first encounter and I still have some of the scars from it that haven’t healed properly.” Tanja showed off some scars from her left shoulder. “I respect the skills that you bring to a match Damon but I do not respect some of the trash talking you tend to bring to a match.” The Cajun sighed quietly. “You always seem to like to trash any and all opponents that cross your path while showing very little respect to anyone and everyone that he steps into the ring with.” She sighed again. “That disrespect that Mr. Xalvador tends to show off will be his downfall in the end as the supernatural prowess of the Bayou Queen will overwhelm him in this case and it will cause him to crawl under his rock.”
She paused for a moment as she folded her arms for a moment, the wheels turning in her head.
“Damon may find ways to list any and all weaknesses that I bring while showing very little respect for what I bring to match and that is very disappointing indeed.” Tanja shook her head in disappointment. “Unlike him, I actually spend the time to respect my opponents and what they bring to the business while subtly playing some mind games in the process before our match.” The Cajun smirked. “It is something that I do and it is something that I can’t exactly control as it is something that I enjoy doing.”
The Cajun flashed a coy smile to the camera as she is heard giving a lilting and singsong laugh.
“Damon and Madison will find out first hand why I was given the moniker of Bayou Witch.” She paused. “I may be small and unassuming but when one least expects it, there will be a surprise that will weaken them.”
The laugh continues as the scene slowly fades to black as Tanja closed the camera so that she could return to the article that she was working on.
