Los Renegados
During the early stages of 2011, Calypso was becoming the top rudo in the LLC, being involved in a deep rivalry with Angel Asesino for the majority of the time. At LLC’s two year anniversary show, Calypso would challenge for the Grand Championship against JYNX. It would be this match that would be the beginning of Los Renegados. Just when JYNX looked as if he would successfully retain his championship - Guerrero Negro would run down to the ring. Guerrero would attack JYNX behind the referee's back, which enabled Calypso to pin him and become the new Grand Champion.
One by one others would join. Guerrero Negro and Calypso recruited Félix Romos and Máscara De Sangrado. For a year and a half solid, these four as Los Renegados would Terrorize not only the LLC but other Mexican promotions as well. Los Renegados would grow more with the addition of el Cadejo who was the missing puzzle piece, instantly being thrust into the Middleweight division of the LLC. Guerrero Negro and Máscara De Sangrado teamed together, capturing the Campeonatos de Parejas on two different occasions - embarking themselves in a deep rivalry against “the Sirens” Hailey Banks and Evelie Espinoza. El Cadejo would win the Middleweight championship under the guidance of his Los Renegados brothers, immediately going into a rivalry against ZERO.
The group would often battle a mix of LLC tecnicos for supremacy of the company. Stars such as Angel Asesino, ZERO, Chase Garrett and others would come together in order to fight during the power struggle. El Cadejo would eventually end the career of Chase Garrett, but only after losing his mask in a match against him. Calypso would eventually lose the Grand Championship, Ezra Reyes (formerally el Cadejo) would lose his championship to Ashtyn Rave and Guerrero Negro and Máscara De Sangrado would lose their titles as well. After all of this would happen, the Los Renegados would disappear from the LLC for awhile.
Los Renegados was previously, and continuously funded by an unnamed investor. This man provided the group the funds to travel through Mexico, enabling them to enter other promotions and proceed with their hostile takeover there. Back in the LLC, “Rumble” Bruin Reyes (no relation to Ezra) would become the new Grand Champion during Calypso, and the Los Renegados time away. Los Renegados returned to the LLC in a big way. During a battle royal to determine a number one contender for Reyes’ Grand Championship - every member of the Los Renegados descended down to the ring and dismantled everyone. Rumble would march down to the ring and with every member of Los Renegados around him, he removed the jacket he wore - revealing a Los Renegados shirt. Every other member protecting their new member and his championship reign.
The groups unnamed investor would soon be revealed to be LLC owner, Julian Cortez. While he originally stood on the side with the tecnicos to rid his company of the Los Renegados, he was with them all along. Julian’s ownership of the LLC would come to an end not much longer after revealing himself as the leader of Los Renegados.
With him, the Los Renegados left the LLC.
So Cal Ultraviolent
Julian Cortez left Guadalajara, Mexico and assumed ownership of So Cal Ultraviolent in San Diego, California. The So Cal chapter would start with Noah Reigner. Julian’s idea was to build this group around Ashtyn Rave, whom he brought into So Cal from LLC. Ashtyn rose through the rankings of So Cal with Julian’s influence, whether she liked it or not including Noah helping her out in matches. It finally boiled down to Ashtyn Rave losing her cool at Julian and Noah, telling the leader of the Los Renegados she wanted nothing to do with him or his team. This didn’t sit too lightly with Julian.
Julian would then enlist one of the hottest agents on the wrestling circuit in Dick Devereaux to be his second-hand, replacing Ashtyn Rave. Dick made a huge splash in So Cal, arriving and immediately attacking Ashtyn Rave. For weeks, Dick and Noah made Ashtyn’s life a living hell. All of this while Noah was deep in his own rivalry against Reece Crosslin. That rivalry would continue at Rated V in a San Diego Street Fight. Reece would win, but not before Rumble Reyes made his So Cal debut, helping his Los Renegados team mate out a bit in the match.
Reece Crosslin now stood side by side with Ashtyn Rave in her battle against Los Renegados, and soon joining them would be Aliyah Turner. She had a deep, personal vendetta against Julian and wanted him - and his entire team gone from the company. Julian selected his men and surrounded himself with them, and now he wanted to bring the Ultraviolent Championship to their camp. For Baptized in Blood, Julian announced that Reece Crosslin would face Ashtyn Rave and Dick Devereaux in a match that was right up Devereaux’s ally - a Taipei Death Match. Well, the match didn’t go exactly as planned. Even with Noah and Rumble trying to help, Reece and Ashtyn were able to pair together and fight off their advances. Reece would eventually submit Devereaux and claim the Championship for himself.
