“SIDDIQUI!! SIDDIQUI!!! Get your ass out of the ring! You're too fucking soft!”
The booming voice of the former Trans-Pacific Champion Andrew Wolfe caused everyone working out inside The Plant to turn around and look towards the ring. Wolfe was a commanding presence at The Plant and when he spoke, everyone listened. Malachi Siddiqui stepped away from Capri Alatorre and turned towards their trainer's voice. The stoic Aussie had his eyes narrowed in Malachi's direction and the wannabe rockstar wrestler kicked at the ropes in disgust.
"We get it, Siddiqui," Wolfe continued, his arms folded across his chest. "She's cute. She's small. She's your friend. You probably want to take her on a fucking date. This isn't the fucking Real World or whatever the fuck you hipsters live tweet about. You're a fucking wrestler. Capri is a fucking wrestler. And if you think taking it easy on her is going to get her ready to step inside the ring with someone like Ryker Rylee, then maybe we need to reevaluate your purpose here."
Capri tightened her ponytail and shot Malachi a look. "I told you to go hard," she mouthed as Malachi climbed out of the ring. Malachi jumped down to the ground and took a seat next to Savannah Harper in one of the chairs that had been set up around the ring. Savannah gave him a sympathetic look and squeezed his knee. "He totally means well," she offered referring to Wolfe.
Malachi didn't bother to reply. Savannah was fucking Wolfe, and her opinion was obviously biased. Not to mention, Andrew treated Savannah like a rare China doll, and threw a fit if someone other than himself worked her a little too hard/rough.
"Caprissi!" Wolfe snapped at Capri. That was his nickname for her because she was so girly. Capri gave him her full attention, ready to take whatever Wolfe had in store for her. When Riley Calix had disappeared to chase his girlfriend Micaela Peszek, Wolfe had inherited his students which included Capri and Malachi. Andrew Wolfe was stricter and tougher than Riley, but Capri didn't mind. He treated her just like everyone else, despite the fact she was the smallest and youngest person at The Plant.
Not to mention she was Colton Carter's daughter.
"Do you really think you're ready to step inside the ring with someone who has near perfect precision with his striking ability? A man who ruthlessly hung a former champion in Aliyah Turner because he wanted a chance to compete for the Ultraviolent Championship? Do you think you have what it takes to stand toe-to-toe with a street kid, who has been in hundreds of fights and broken the bones of countless nobodies? That's exactly what you'll be to Rylee. A nobody. He won't hesitate to beat you into the ground in order to prove a point, and that point being he was robbed of an opportunity to face Reece Crosslin. So again, do you think you're ready for that?"
Capri knew better than to lie, and she shook her head. "No. I don't think I'm ready."
Wolfe turned and looked at Malachi, giving him a knowing look.
"But I'm going to go out there anyway and do the best I can," Capri continued, which caused Andrew to look back at her. "I know what I lack, but I know I can compensate. This is exactly where I want to be, and I'm not going to let anyone tell me I don't belong. I'm quick enough to avoid most strikes, you told me that yourself. You've seen how quickly I can run around the ring and jump on the ropes. Ryker can't catch me in the air, and that gives me the element of surprise. He's shown he's not the most focused competitor and whatever he has going on wi- "
Capri shook her head, cutting herself off. She had a lot of questions about what was going on between Ryker and her dad's fiancee, Sayani Barhaspati. But Colton had cancelled their dinner plans the other night at the last minute, and Capri hadn't heard from him.
"I can catch him off guard. In the matches we've had here, I've taken so much punishment and never given up. I have a big heart, and nothing will ever make me quit."
"Reigner!"
Andrew signaled for So-Cal main roster main stay Noah Reigner to join them. After Noah climbed in the ring, Andrew motioned for him to lock up with Capri.
"Get Caprissi ready for Tuesday."
Capri shrugged at Noah as if to say 'lets do it', and that's all the coaxing Noah needed. Everyone watched as Noah easily backed Capri into the corner. No one noticed when the door of The Plant opened and Riley Calix walked in. He hadn't been seen inside The Plant since April, and immediately his eyes went to the ring. Capri was his prize student, his favorite. She was full of heart and passion, just the same as Riley. When Noah unnecessarily slammed his knee in Capri's face, Riley cringed.
Andrew also cringed, but he hesitated calling Noah off.
