INT. JULIAN CORTEZ'S OFFICE - THE ULTRAVIOLENT COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
Julian Cortez sits in his office area of the Ultraviolent Complex. His suit jacket hung on the back of his chair, a lit cigar placed in the glass ashtray to his immediate right. His shirt sleeves unbuttoned and loosely rolled up to his forearms. The owner of SCUV leans back in his chair, his eyes locked on the camera in front of him.
JULIAN CORTEZ “Para que la gente pueda subir al poder, otros tienen que caer. Gage Landon did what he could do for SCUV, but it was time for him to fall so SCUV could rise to power. I am going to be the one that leads this company into the next year and to the top of the independent wrestling world.”
He reached forward, picking up his cigar and placing it between his lips. Taking a deep inhale from it and removing. His eyes narrowed through the smoke.
JULIAN CORTEZ “And now that I’m in charge, leading SCUV into its rise to power -- now is the time for you to rise to power. I have contracted some of the very best athletes in this industry. Prove to me that you belong here. The King of California tournament begins tonight, but equally as important to that - I have my eyes on everyone in regards to other opportunities.”
“Prove to me you’re worth it.
Rise to power.”
He took another drag from his cigar.

CUT TO: INT. BACKSTAGE AREA - THE ULTRAVIOLENT COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
Beautiful, blond Trixie is seen walking out of the women’s locker room. She's all smiles and confidence as she basically skips towards the area where the SCUV wrestlers walk out through the curtain. Despite the fact it doesn't match Trixie’s ring attire perfectly, she's carrying her brand new, Michael Kors saffiano leather handbag. She pauses in front of a cluster of equipment and looks around to make sure no one is watching. Convinced she's in the clear, Trixie bends down and retrieves an object that had been mysteriously placed behind the equipment earlier in the day.
She straightens up, smirks at the nice, heavy cement brick in her hand, and drops it down inside the MK bag. Trixie tests the weight and is more than satisfied.
TRIXIE “Maybe you should fuck off forever, Micaela.”
With a laugh, Trixie zips the bag up and stands before the curtain. She's ready to make her entrance.
-----------------------------
MATCH ONE - Trixie vs. Micaela Peszak “Take It Off” by The Donna's hits the PA system as the blond bombshell emerges from the backstage area. The crowd greets her with a mixed reaction because honestly no one really knows how to take Trixie. Sometimes she’s good. Sometimes she’s bad. Today she just smirks confidentially and makes her way to the ring, the damn MK handbag in tow. The referee offers to take the bag but Trixie brushes him off and very gently sets the bag down in the corner. Her music fades and is replaced by “Bad Reputation.”
Instead of the wonderful punk version by Senses Fail, the music tech is playing the Joan Jett version. Micaela Peszek emerges from the curtain looking annoyed and confused, screaming at the PA guy. His name is Dane and he has to abruptly cut the music because new SCUV owner, Julian Cortez, is speaking with him. Micaela places her hands on her hips. The cameras pick up the conversation.
DANE: “I'm sorry, sir. I don't know how the music got changed.”
JULIAN CORTEZ: “You do realize we don't have the rights to play the Joan Jett version of the song, right?”
DANE: “I’ll get Siri to pull up the correct version real quick.”
MICAELA PESZEK: “Oh for God’s sake. Fuck it. Just fuck it. I don't need music anyway.”
With a scowl on her face, Micaela storms down to the ring. As she slips inside, Trixie greets her with several vicious stomps to the back. She’s all over the California native and jerks Micaela up by her long, dark locks. Trixie whips her foe across the ring and goes for a clothesline, but Micaela is able to duck, stop the momentum, and catch Trixie off guard with a spinning heel kick. Trixie goes down and Micaela goes for a quick cover.
1…
Trixie easily powers out.
Micaela mounts the blond and begins punching her in the face. She seems determined to make a mess out of Trixie’s lovely face. She sinks her fingernails into Trixie’s delicate throat and begins choking the life out of her, all the while slamming the back of Trixie’s head into the mat. Trixie tries to fight her off, but Micaela is too powerful at the moment. She gouges Trixie in the eyes, punches her in the heart, and slaps Trixie across the face. Micaela gets up and climbs to the top rope. It’s a little early for “Air Peszek” but Micaela goes for it anyway. Of course Trixie moves out of the way and Micaela eats the mat. She’s overcome with a tremendous amount of pain due to the stupidity of her early risk and is forced to roll out of the ring.
Trixie follows Micaela and drops down to the ground. She begins to punching Micaela and drags her over towards the steel ring steps. Micaela is able to block Trixie’s attempt at bouncing her face off those damn steps, and kicks the Las Vegas girl in the gut. Trixie doubles over but does sidestep Micaela’s scissors kick attempt. Micaela throws a few elbows to Trixie’s face, and Trixie does her best to fend her off. The two girls battle around the ring, throwing each other into the apron and ringposts. Micaela finally gets the upper hand and throws Trixie into the ringsteps. Trixie crashes shoulder first and Micaela is savvy enough to get the other woman back into the ring.
While this is going on, the crowd gets distracted by two men making their way through the crowd. One man is a huge, hulking monster of a man with blond hair. The other is a familiar face to the SCUV crowd. Former Ultraviolent Champion, Gunnar Erikksen, is with the man known as Jaxon West.
Micaela is in the midst of throwing Trixie to the ground with a second straight German suplex, when she notices the commotion that is going on. She drops Trixie to the ground and walks over the ropes. A look of pure shock crosses her lovely face. Gunnar and Jax flash their front row tickets at her and take a seat. To say Micaela is disgusted and caught off guard would be an understatement. The minute Jax blows her a sarcastic kiss, Micaela loses her mind. She starts screaming at him and pretty soon husband and wife are engaged in a bitter war of words.
Trixie has recovered enough to see what’s going on, and noticing Micaela is paying her zero attention, she crawls over to where she sat her MK saffiano leather handbag. She pulls it to her chest, using the ropes to get to her feet, and takes a few seconds to set herself up. A smirk crosses her face and she rushes Micaela, slamming her in right in the kidneys with the loaded purse. Micaela crumbles to the mat and Trixie unzips the bag, removing the brick. She arrogantly waves it in the air and lets it drop to the ground before grabbing Micaela by the ankle and jerking her to the center of the ring. Trixie drops down and goes for the cover.
1…
2…
3!!!!!
WINNER: Trixie [5:55]
“Take It Off” once again begins blaring over the PA system and after the referee raises her hand in victory, Trixie slips out of the ring. She strolls over to where Jax and Gunnar were sitting, winks at them both, and saunters to the backstage area.

CUT TO: EXT. LOADING AREA - THE ULTRAVIOLENT COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
Outside of the Ultraviolent Complex in the loading dock area, well away from any fan interaction or anything - we find Noah Reigner standing in his wrestling gear and black t-shirt. He stands facing the camera, but there’s someone that stands in front of him with their back to the camera.
NOAH REIGNER “So you know what to do tonight, right?”
This person nodded their head.
NOAH REIGNER “That’s what I like to hear. Hombre Cortez wants us to “rise to power”? I'm going to do exactly that. I'm going to leave my mark in this company and I'm going to take out one of their precious members to do so.”
Noah laughed maniacally.
-----------------------------
CUT TO: INT. CATERING - THE ULTRAVIOLENCE COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
“There they are, straight out of The Plant.”
That was Laine Pierce, the head trainer of So-Cal’s training program. He approached the team of Ace Dubrin and Larry Tran, collectively known as the Sultans of So-Cal.
LAINE PIERCE “How's the environment here, you guys liking it?”
ACE DURBIN “Yeah man. I mean, we haven't really spoken to anyone - we're just standing back watching. Some of these people though, they take this Ultraviolent thing to heart, don't they?”
LAINE PIERCE “Oh, you ain't seen nothing yet. This is tame compared to what I've seen go down here.”
Larry and Ace looked at one another, not sure how to react to that.
LAINE PIERCE “Don't worry guys, you can handle it! Besides, I hear that Cortez liked what he saw from you both at training and has high hopes. You’re going to get your chance, boys.”
Laine grinned at his two trainees.
LAINE PIERCE “Stick around, watch the rest of the show and take some pointers on how things are done around here. You’re going to have to break out of that comfort zone sooner or later.”
And with that, Laine walked away leaving the Sultans of So-Cal to watch the show.
-----------------------------
MATCH TWO - Reece Crosslin vs. Sydney Hilton The two start off in the ring with the So-Cal faithful immediately behind hometown hero, Reece Crosslin. The former King of California winner and Ultraviolent champion, encourages the chants of “CROSS-LIN! CROSS-LIN” by waving his arms. Sydney allows him this time with his fans, but only for a moment before approaching. The two lock up in the middle of the ring, which is where Sydney’s strength advantage comes into play. Sydney muscled Reece back into the corner and held him there. Given that this is So-Cal Ultraviolent and normal rules don’t really apply, the referee allowed this. It was up to the men to separate, which Sydney did. He backed away a few feet, before charging back into the corner. Reece ducked out of the way, leaving Sydney to crash into the corner. As soon as Sydney hit the turnbuckle, Reece grabbed onto the top rope and jumped up hitting a variation of an enzuigiri to Sydney.
Reece landed on his feet and allowed Sydney to stumble out of the corner after taking the shot. Reece took Sydney down with a snap armdrag. Popping back up to his feet, Reece lays a few stomps onto Sydney before jumping up for a senton splash perfectly on Sydney’s stomach. Immediately flipping over, Reece covers Sydney but only gets a one before Sydney powers his shoulder up. Both men return to their feet which is when Reece fires off a few forearm shots to Sydney. After the third shot, Sydney manages to block one and fire off one of his own. Sydney’s striking power is far greater than Reece’s, so one shot from Sydney sends Reece staggering back a few steps. Another shot from Sydney to Reece. When Reece comes back, Sydney kicks him in the stomach and takes him down with a snap suplex. The match flows on, both men return to their feet after the suplex and Sydney bum rushes Reece – knocking him back down with a running forearm shot. Reece ate the impact and rolled out of the ring.
Sydney watched as Reece rolled out of the ring, and sprinted to the far ropes. On the outside, Reece landed on his feet and shook off the impact of the running forearm. He happened to look up into the ring, to see Sydney bouncing off of the far ropes in order to pick up speed and momentum for his suicide dive through the ropes! Sydney crashed into Reece and both men landed on the floor. This brought the fans to their feet cheering. Sydney pushed himself up to his feet and pulled Reece up with him. Sydney forcefully pushed Reece into the steel ring post before moving to pick up a steel chair. Reece rested against the post, catching his breath. Sydney walked back to where he left Reece and wound up the chair, looking to swing and sandwich Reece’s head between it and the post – but as he swung, Reece moved out of the way and the chair smashed into the steel post.
The vibrations traveling up his arms cause Sydney to drop the chair and turn toward Reece who catches him with a jumping spinning heel kick. Reece’s boot connects with Sydney’s jaw, and knocks him to the floor. Reece lifts Sydney up and throws him into the barrier that separates the ring from the fans. Since it’s a movable barrier, it moves with the weight of Sydney – nearly falling over. Reece picks up the chair that Sydney dropped and threw it at his opponent. The chair hits his body and falls to the floor. Sydney reacts to the impact but before he could turn his attention back to his opponent, Reece rushes to him and clotheslines him up and over the barrier and into the crowd. Reece yells, pumping the crowd who screams with him. Reece climbed onto the apron and watched as Sydney moved back to his feet. Once that happened, Reece ran a short distance on the apron before jumping off!
Suicide senton over the barrier and into the crowd taking out Sydney and even a couple of fans!
CROSS-LIN! CROSS-LIN! The fans chant again while both men lay out cold. It took a few moments before they started to stir. Reece was up first, using the energy of the crowd to fuel his adrenaline. He pulls Sydney up to his feet, only to be shoved away. Sydney pushed himself up to his feet and caught Reece in the jaw with a rising European Uppercut as Reece approached him again. The impact staggered Reece back to the barrier, which he would rest against. Sydney picked up the nearest steel chair and threw it at Reece. The chair hit off of the former Ultraviolent champion and landed on the floor. Reece ate the impact and flinched afterword. Sydney followed up by doing it again with another chair, and then another. Reece deflected off the third, though, but by the time he readied himself, he saw Sydney charging at him. Clothesline that sends Reece up and over the barrier back into ringside.
The cheers swing the other way to Syndey now as he shows his athleticism, jumping over the barrier and coming down with a legdrop across Reece's throat. The impact of the landing didn't do Syndey any favors, but he is better off than Reece, who's holding his throat as he rolls away. Sydney pushes himself up and marches over to Reece who's rolled onto his stomach, and is now sitting on a knee. Reece notices Sydney approaching, and reaches out grabbing the custom made tights of Syd and falls back - pulling him with him. Sydney is pulled right into the steel post-steel steps combination of the corner of the ring. The way Syndey's head bounced off of the post looked painful and he drops like a ton of bricks on the outside.
Reece pushes up to his feet, looking a little out of it. He stood up facing away from Sydney so he turned around to his opponent. Instead, he found a woman who made her way over the barrier. This wasn't just any average looking woman. She stood motionless in front of a confused Reece. He shouted at her to move, but she didn't - not until Reece tried to push past her. She stopped him, showing a level of power that Reece didn't expect. He stopped again and had every intention of telling her to leave again, but instead he ate a European Uppercut followed immediately by a spinning backfist that floored the former King of California winner. Holding his jaw, he looked up in awe at her - oblivious to the fact that Noah Reigner has too jumped over the barrier behind him. Noah held a chair in hand, waiting for Reece.
Reece picked himself up and once he was vertical, that was when this woman pointed behind him with a devilish grin. Reece turned around...
BAM!
Chairshot to the head! Noah threw the chair on the ground and we notice the impact of the shot to Reece's head dented the chair. It was hard enough to knock Reece out cold. With both Reece and Sydney knocked out currently, the referee has no choice but to declare this match a no-contest.
Winner: No Contest
Noah and this mysterious woman began to walk to the backstage area as the fans booed the both of them.

CUT TO: EXT. PARKING LOT - THE ULTRAVIOLENT COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
Aliyah Turner stands outside of the Ultraviolent complex dressed in her wrestling gear. She jumps in place, moving her arms back and forth - stretching. Not only was she was getting physically ready for this match, but was also preparing herself mentally. Last year she reached the finals of this tournament where she was defeated by Jack Owyns. This time she vowed that she would reach the finals again, and win. She had all of the support you could ask for. Scott Campbell and even Sterling Clark have come down to the Ultraviolent Complex in order to watch her compete.
ALIYAH TURNER "You got this. This is your's."
She said to herself, confidently as she stopped bouncing on her feet.
ALIYAH TURNER "I will become the Queen of California, it's my destiny."
She rotated her neck, getting loose. Before anything else could happen, it was her best friend that approached from her parked red covertable.
TRACY BECKETT (O.S) "You ready, girl? It's your big night!"
Aliyah smiled at her approach.
ALIYAH TURNER "Little miss Lucha-Queen is gonna' wish she stayed in Mexico when I'm done with her."
Tracy smiled back.
TRACY BECKETT "I have no doubt with that! Let's walk and talk, 'Liyah. Scott and Sterling are already here. They want to wish you luck."
The two girls walked into the Ultraviolent Complex.
-----------------------------
MATCH THREE - Beckham Hendricks vs. Chris Maverick Both men have made their way to ringside with their respective managers. Charity stands on the outside near Beckham’s corner. Stacy stands outside of Maverick’s. The bell sounds, but the match doesn’t start immediately. Maverick stood in his corner, shit-talking Beckham, Charity and their beliefs. Beckham didn’t look too impressed by this. Maverick arrogantly marched forward pointing at his jaw, telling Beckham to take the first shot. Well … he didn’t need to be told twice. Beckham threw a haymaker punch that nearly took Maverick’s jaw clean off. Maverick hit the mat and immediately backed away from Beckham who was now seeing red. Beckham lets out a primal scream as Maverick backs into the corner. Stalking into the corner, Beckham stands over Maverick – which is when Maverick kicks up his leg right between Beckham’s, sending his opponent crumbling to his knees, holding himself in pain.
Maverick returned to his feet, sprinting to the ropes and comes back with a running knee to the side of Beckham’s head. The impact put Beckham on the mat, and Maverick started to stomp on him quickly. Maverick backed away for just a second and watched as Beckham returned to his feet. Beckham threw another swing, and he missed wildly. Maverick used his speed to duck underneath it. As the force of the swing spun Beckham around, Maverick grabbed his head and pulled him down with a neckbreaker. The Canadian born So-Cal resident is looking great thus far in the match. He springs to his feet, and arrogantly brushes his hair to the back of his head with a huge smile. Outside of the ring, Stacy applauds her man and yells into the SCUV faithful that “he’s the man!”.
But through all of the arrogance, Maverick missed that Beckham pushed himself up to his feet. Maverick turned around right into a spinebuster from the stronger of the two athletes. Beckham then mounts Maverick, grabbing his head with his left hand and with his right he begins to punish Maverick with several closed-hand fists. Each punch looks worse than the last as Beckham lets out his anger and frustration on Maverick. It took Charity’s yells from the outside to break Beckham out of the trance like state he was in. She pleaded for him to stop and he did. He stood up and pulled Maverick up to his feet, only to hook Maverick’s arm over his head and hoist him easily in a suplex. Beckham stalled, letting the blood flow to Maverick’s brain before dropping him down viciously to the mat.
Beckham grabbed Maverick and pulled him up again, throwing him into the corner. Beckham followed in with a lariat, immediately succeeded by rapid fire lariats. After the forth lariat, Beckham stopped and let Maverick fall out of the corner and down onto the mat. Maverick rolled out of the ring and was immediately met by Stacy. Maverick slides his hands underneath the ring and pulls a steel chair out. Inside of the ring, Beckham marched to the ropes near where Maverick rolled out. He reached through the middle and top ropes, grabbing Maverick by his hair as he began to stand up. Maverick, though, swings his chair up and smashes it right onto Beckham’s head. His grip immediately released and Beckham backed up and fell to the mat in the ring.
Maverick smiled arrogantly and pointed to his head, saying how he always has a plan. He then threw the chair into the ring before fetching another one and throwing that in as well. He slid in himself but before anything else could happen, Jack Owyns began walking down to the ring. Charity, Stacy and Maverick all watch him inquisitively. Jack climbs into the ring and stops, looking between Maverick and Beckham - who's beginning to pull himself up to his feet. Maverick is in the process of saying something, but Jack - almost literally - knocks his jaw off with a quick spinning back fist. Maverick is out on his feet, and before he could fall, Jack catches him and drives him into the mat with his "Mischief-Maker" suplex!
Jack quickly moves up to his feet, stalking Beckham as he turns away from looking down at Charity. BAM! "Villainous Knee" right to Beckham's chin. Before he turned around, Beckham was in the process of removing his sharpened crucifix that he keeps hidden in his wrist tape. Jack notices it on the ground and picks it up. Kneeling next to Beckham, Jack drives the sharpened edge of the crucifix into the forehead of Beckham multiple times before dragging it across his flesh, opening up a deep cut. All the while, Jack's eyes were locked on Charity who stood frozen on the outside, watching this horrifying event unfold.
Blood covers Jack's hands, Beckham's face and the crucifix that Jack drops onto Beckham's chest. Maverick has rolled out of the ring by now and is being attended to by Stacy. Jack smiles devilishly at his actions, and it's safe to say that this match isn't going to continue.
Winner: No Contest

CUT TO: UNSEEN FOOTAGE FROM EARLIER IN THE WEEK - CONTINUOUS
"I'll see you Thursday, little bird."
Zander walked over and grabbed her hand and the happy couple walked off into the moonlight, a skip in Rowan's step. They went to exit the alleyway but Rowan gave Zander’s hand a tug.
ROWAN BLACKWOOD “You know what we need?”
ZANDER BLACKWOOD “What?”
ROWAN BLACKWOOD “A sacrifice.”
ZANDER BLACKWOOD “A sacrifice?”
Rowan let go of her husband’s hand and spun around on her Doc Martens. She marched back down the alleyway. Zander would follow her to the ends of the Earth and watched as Rowan descended down on the blond with the pixie cut again. The helpless woman had just managed to pull her phone from her pocket to call for help, but Rowan slammed her foot down on the girl’s wrist, breaking her bones in the process. The blond was crying.
ROWAN BLACKWOOD “This little bird is going to be our sacrifice. Hanalei Brightly has to die and I’m going to burn this Hana alive to make sure our efforts for revenge won’t be in vain.”
Zander just shrugged as if to say “okay” and the blonde began to beg and plead for her life. Zander knocked her unconscious with one clubbing blow to the face and Rowan looked up at him with nothing but love and admiration in her eyes.
ROWAN BLACKWOOD “We will make this sacrifice in the middle of the ring on Tuesday night to the gods of war and victory, and we will reign supreme.”
-----------------------------
MATCH FOUR - Rowan Blackwood vs. Hanalei Brightly SCUV returns to find Rowan Blackwood sitting in the corner of the ring. Her legs are folded underneath her and she’s angled so she can look up at the wooden structure Zander has set up in the middle. The woman from Rowan’s promo earlier in the week is chained to this structure, her broken wrist hanging limply. The Hanalei Brightly lookalike is out of fight but silent tears fall down her face. Never in her life could she have imagined that she would end up being a human sacrifice for two insanely attractive psychopaths. Rowan seems very happy at what Zander has set up and once he backs away, the petite redhead stands up and walks over to her little bird of a victim. She pulls a long-handled lighter from her combat boots and lights the small ring that circles the structure the blonde is chained too. As the flames erupt around the woman, not yet touching her, Rowan drops down and rests on her stomach and elbows. She’s watching the flames like a child would watch a Christmas tree, or some other fun comparison like that.
The crowd doesn’t exactly know what to think. They know and love Rowan and Zander from their amazing history in the promotion, but this… this is a little much. Thankfully, the real Hanalei Brightly comes running from the back. She’s got a baseball bat in her hand and she slips in the ring with it. Knowing she has to do something desperate to eliminate Zander from the equation, she slams him in his surgically repaired knee. The massive bearded beauty lets out a roar and goes down hard, clutching at his knee. Rowan is on her feet and charging at Hanalei, but Hanalei slams her in the gut with the butt of the bat. Rowan doubles over and Hanalei slams her in the back with the bat. Rowan tumbles from the ring and Hanalei turns her attention to the chained woman. She begins stomping out the flames with her boot, essentially saving this other girl’s life, and motions for medical and security to come down to the ring.
Lindsay Pierce, Elias Barnes and Alix Stavros come rushing down and Dr. Emily Brewer is right behind them. Alix, Lindsay, and Elias work together to get the blond woman released and once she’s down, they help her out of the ring. Dr. Brewer checks her over and motions for the paramedics to come down to ringside.
Seeing Zander in peril has woken Rowan up. She notices Hanalei leaning out of the ring to check on the other woman and sneaks up behind her. Rowan knocks Hanalei’s legs out from underneath her and grabs a handful of blond hair. The camera doesn’t pick up what she says quietly in Hanalei’s ear but they don’t miss Rowan bashing Hana’s face into the mat over and over again. Rowan eventually gets bored with this and moves Hanalei to the ropes. She drapes Hanalei’s throat over the ropes, jams her knee in the back of Hanalei’s neck, and begins choking her. Rowan grabs the ropes and pulls them up which makes things a lot worse for Hanalei. After a minute, she pulls Hanalei up by the hair and forces her into the corner. Rowan backs up and takes off running, looking to nail Hanalei with a flying knee to the face. Hanalei moves out of the way and Rowan crashes. She falls back onto the mat, and Hanalei is all over her. She goes for the cover, but the referee points that Rowan’s foot is under the ropes. Hanalei pulls her opponent a little closer to the center, and tries the cover again.
1…
2…
KICKOUT!!!
The count was more like one and a half, but you get the picture. Hanalei brushes her short hair back out of her face and gets to her feet. The wooden structure is still in the ring and Hanalei grabs it. She sets it up in the corner, almost like you would a table, and she whips Rowan into it. Rowan immediately grips her lower back and Hanalei shoves her foot up under Rowan’s throat. She grabs the ropes for extra leverage and Rowan fights for air. Hanalei eventually lets go but she follows up her choke with several precise and vicious kicks to Rowan’s ribcage area. Rowan slips down the solid wooden structure and into a sitting position, and Hanalei backs up. She goes for a knee to Rowan’s face, but the smaller woman is able to get out of the way just as Hanalei connects with the backdrop. The former RSW Revolution leader goes down and Rowan scrambles to her feet.
Mrs. Blackwood drops to the outside and limps over the where Zander is seated against the barricades. He reassures Rowan that he is going to be okay and gives her a few words of instruction. Rowan nods and reaches under the ring. She pulls out a leadpipe, slaps it against her palm, and nods. That works for her. Rowan gets back into the ring and Hanalei gets back to her feet. Rowan swings wildly and hopes to connect with something, but Hanalei drops down to her knees. She strikes Rowan in the gut, but despite the shot Rowan slams her knee up into Hanalei’s nose. Hana drops Rowan and staggers back, and Rowan tackles her down to the mat. The two women begin exchanging rights and lefts, neither one of them willing to give an inch. It comes down to Hanalei's striking power that gives her the advantage, landing one - two - three - four back to back shots on Rowan, backing her into the ropes. Hanalei pushes Rowan off of the ropes, whipping her across the ring.
Rowan hits the ropes and bounces back, right into a jumping Bicycle Knee Smash from Hanalei that she calls "Can You Hear Me Now?". Rowan his the mat, but before Hanalei can make the cover, Rowan's intelligence comes into play and she rolls closer to the ropes. Rowan reaches up, grabbing the ropes to begin to pull herself up. Hanalei sighs a frustrated sigh before approaching Rowan again. Rowan pushes up, shoulder first into Hanalei's stomach which doubles her over in pain. Rowan moves up to her feet, waiting for Hanalei to steady herself. Once she does, Rowan grabs Hanalei's head in a snapmare position looking to drive her down with the "Crash and Burn". Instead, Hanalei pushes Rowan off to the ropes. Rowan doesn't turn back, instead she kicks backward, hitting Hanalei in the stomach with a heel kick before climbing out onto the apron. Hanalei finally returns fully vertical..
"THE ARSONISTS DANCE"! Rowan springboarded off of the top rope, turned in mid air and caught Hanalei before executing a tornado DDT perfectly. She floated over onto the cover.
ONE.
TWO.
THREE!
Winner: Rowan Blackwood [8:21],

CUT TO: INT. PARKING LOT - THE ULTRAVIOLENT COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
Trixie, being Trixie, is seen celebrating her victory from earlier in the night the best way she knows how; a celebratory photo shoot. She's dressed like a slutty Mrs. Claus and holding up a sign that says “Feliz Navidad” in honor of Julian Cortez and his Mexican heritage. The photographer is smiling at Trixie and directing her in various poses while several fans who couldn't get into the Ultraviolent Complex stand around and watch.
VOICE (O.S.) “You!”
Trixie and everyone else turns in the direction of the voice and a sigh escapes Trixie’s red lips.
TRIXIE “Micaela, this photoshoot is for winners only. Geeze. I'm sure Mr. Cortez doesn't want a first round loser splashed across the So-Cal homepage on Christmas Day.”
Micaela Peszek enters the scene and even though she took a horrendous shot to the kidneys earlier in the night, she's stalking towards Trixie with a purpose.
MICAELA PESZEK “You hit me while my back was turned… with a brick.”
Trixie just shrugs and turns back to her photographer. Micaela clenches her fists and charges Trixie. She throws the blond to the ground and begins beating the absolute living hell out of her. Trixie does her best to fend Micaela off, but the exotic brunette is enraged. She grabs two handfuls of Trixie’s hair and drags her kicking and screaming across the parking lot. Once she reaches a group of parked cars, she goes to slam Trixie’s face off the windshield. Trixie gets her foot up on the side of the car to block, but Micaela clocks her right in the jaw. Trixie goes down and Micaela stands over the other girl, smirking at her total TKO.
MICAELA PESZEK “This is far from over, Trixie. I promise you.”
-----------------------------
MATCH FIVE - Aliyah Turner vs. Ashtyn Rave “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” by Eve featuring Gwen Stefani hits the SCUV sound system and almost immediately, the SCUV faithful jump to their feet. Last year’s KoC runner-up, Aliyah Turner, makes her way out from behind the black curtain. A smile is on her face, but there’s a kendo stick in her hand because Aliyah knows that the opponent she’s about to face is someone who will stop at nothing to spill her (Aliyah’s) blood. Aliyah taps the kendo stick on the ground a couple of times, before throwing her hands up in the air, and playing to the crowd. They definitely appreciate the fact that Aliyah gives it her all every time she performs for them and as the ebony goddess makes her way to the ring, Aliyah slaps a few hands along the way.
As Aliyah makes her way up the ring steps, she stops in her tracks. Coming through the crowd is none other than Ashtyn Rave. The “Emo Barbie Doll” is not one for typical entrances or anything that even remotely resembles traditional. She easily makes her way over the barricades and a sick smirk crosses her face. Aliyah points the kendo stick at her opponent and motions for Ashtyn to come at her. The younger girl pulls her torn, black LLC T-shirt over her head and tosses it into the crowd, not really giving a fuck if someone caught it or not. She unbuckles the black leather, studded belt and pulls it from her shorts. Wrapping it around knuckles, studs out of course, Ashtyn makes a beeline for Aliyah.
Aliyah drops the kendo stick and flies off the steps, catching Ashtyn in the jaw with the toe of her boot. She lands on her feet and drops down, going to work on the more experienced competitor. Aliyah is relentless with her rights and lefts, making sure Ashtyn gets a proper welcome to SCUV, and despite the fact Ashtyn fights her off, Aliyah remains in control. She bounces Ashtyn’s face off the steel ring steps and whips the Charleston native into the barricades. Using her speed, Aliyah rushes Ashtyn and clotheslines her right into the crowd. The crowd disperses as Aliyah motions for them to make room. Once they have made way for her, Aliyah actually leaps ONTO the barricades and uses it as a springboard to go flying. Ashtyn is right there and catches the brunt of the move, and both women go flying into a group of empty chairs.
Holy shit.
Both women are laid out in the middle of the crowd thanks to Aliyah’s fearlessness and who the hell even knows if this match is official or not? Granted, SCUV isn’t exactly your typical promotion so it probably was. There was a referee in the ring anyway. It takes a few moments for each woman to gather her bearings, but eventually Aliyah sits up. Some kind fans in the crowd help Aliyah to her feet and she actually thanks them. She bends down and grabs a handful of Ashtyn’s #phantomgreen locks, pulling the smaller girl up.
Sensing she’s in a position she’s not to used to being in, Ashtyn fights back with several elbows to Aliyah’s gut. Aliyah has to release her grip on Ashtyn momentarily and that was enough to allow the LLC standout to take a stiff shot to Aliyah’s jaw. That rocks Aliyah and Ashtyn slams her first right into the Spitefire’s nose. She follows it up with a kick to the knees and reaches for a steel chair, quickly folding it up, and slamming it into Aliyah’s back as they both stumble towards the barricade again. Ashtyn tosses down the chair and shoves Aliyah over the railing. She follows her over and the two women begin to brawl all around the ringside area. They make their way back towards the steps and Ashtyn retrieves her belt that she had lost the minute Aliyah had knocked her in the face to begin the match.
Ashtyn takes the belt and wraps it around her fist and begins punching Aliyah over and over. With her opponent officially rocked, Ashtyn pushes Aliyah into the ring. She climbs in after her, unwraps the belt, and folds it in half. Showing absolutely no mercy she begins whipping Aliyah across the back, ass, and legs with the belt eventually drawing blood. Satisfied at the damage she has done, Ashtyn drops down and wraps the belt tightly around Aliyah’s throat. Aliyah fights for breath but Ashtyn just tightens her grip, not willing to let go. She had promised to kill Aliyah earlier in the week in the build-up to the match and it seems like she's intent on making that promise a reality.
In sheer desperation, Aliyah brings her hands up and begins clawing at Ashtyn’s face. Her thumb caught Ashtyn in the eye and Aliyah uses what strength she has left to try and blind Ashtyn, which makes the girl release her grip. Aliyah quickly crawls out of the ring, clutching at her throat, and sucking in big gulps of air to fill her lungs. Ashtyn, meanwhile, is clutching at her eye trying to get her vision back.
Aliyah pulls the ring skirt up and searches for a weapon. She pulls out a fire extinguisher and shrugs as if to say "good enough." Ashtyn has pulled herself together and has made her way towards the ropes. She reaches through and goes to grab Aliyah, but the "Knoxville Knockout" slams the fire extinguisher right into Ashtyn’s face. Ashtyn goes down like a ton of bricks and Aliyah slips back inside the ring. She quickly turns on the fire extinguisher and uses it on Ashtyn. The cold blast hits Ashtyn at full force and she has to roll out of the ring to avoid the rest of the spray.
Frustrated and humiliated, Ashtyn slams her first into the ground. This is not how her first SCUV match is supposed to go. She probably shouldn't have snorted that line of coke before going to the ring to be honest.
Aliyah chunks the fire extinguisher in Ashtyn’s direction, but luckily Ashtyn rolls out of the way. Aliyah climbs to the top rope and steadies herself on the turnbuckle. She throws herself off, looking to nail Ashtyn with her knees, but Ashtyn ducks and Aliyah crashes and burns. Ashtyn steadies herself against the apron of the ring, catching her breath while Aliyah lays motionless. A brief moment passes before Ashtyn moves to her fallen opponent and lifts her up to her feet. She grabs a hold of her hair and the back of her tights before throwing her into the nearby set of steps. Almost as soon as Aliyah hits the floor, Ashtyn is back ontop of her - picking her up and rolling her back into the ring.
Ashtyn climbed onto the apron and then onto the top ropes. She may have taken a little too long, or maybe underestimated the recovery rate of Aliyah. Aliyah returned to her feet just as Ashtyn settled on the top rope. Aliyah rushed into the corner, closing the gap between the two and not allowing Ashtyn to jump. Aliyah jumped to hit a forearm to Ashtyn's stomach. Ashtyn sat on the turnbuckle, which allowed Aliyah time to climb up. Aliyah stood on the top turnbuckle holding onto Ashtyn for balance, before jumping up. She wrapped her legs around Ashtyn's head and flipped back, taking her down with a Hurricanrana.
However, Ashtyn rolled through the impact and to her feet. Almost at the same time, Aliyah was back to her feet. Ashtyn sprinted toward the SCUV vet and attempted a lariat, only to be evaded by Aliyah. Ashtyn stopped and turned around just for Aliyah to grab her arm and twist. Aliyah lifted her boot and braced it against Ashtyn's jaw, looking for her finisher - "Straight Fire". However. Ashtyn freed her arm and before Aliyah could drop completely, Ashtyn moved her arms to wrap around Aliyah's waist. She stepped over her arms...
"FUCK YOU" ! Ashtyn with a well-timed counter to the Inverted Stomp Facebreaker to her version of a Styles Clash. Ashtyn kept this position and rolled to a sitting position, rolling Aliyah over in the process for a pinning situation.

CUT TO: INT. BACKSTAGE AREA - MEDICAL AREA - CONTINUOUS
Things didn't work out for Hanalei Brightly against Rowan Blackwood on this night, but that doesn't deter her from seeking out Dr. Emily Brewer and checking on the condition of the Jane Doe who was nearly burned alive by the Blackwoods.
HANALEI BRIGHTLY “Do you know what hospital she was taken too?”
DR. EMILY BREWER “San Diego General. Physically, she should be fine. She was beat up and tortured pretty bad, and her left wrist is broken. Her recovery will be a long process.”
Hanalei just shakes her head.
HANALEI BRIGHTLY (muttering) “I’ll never understand these people.”
DR. EMILY BREWER “I'm sorry?”
Hanalei shakes her head.
HANALEI BRIGHTLY “Nothing. Thank you. I'm going to pay Jane Doe a visit tonight and check on her.”
Hanalei exits the small medical examiner’s room and heads down the hallway. Almost immediately she's attacked from behind and hits her knees hard when she lands. Clubbing blows rain down on Hanalei’s back until she is able to twist her body around and kick her attacker back. Rowan Blackwood laughs maniacally and pulls a box of matches out of her leggings.
ROWAN BLACKWOOD “You don't get to try and take Zander from me too, little bird.”
Rowan, not thinking of the consequences, lights a match and tosses it at Hanalei. Hanalei rolls out of the way and watches as the match lands in a trashcan, engulfing it in flames. Rowan claps her hands on delight but that allows Hanalei to spear the redhead back. Hanalei begins to going to work on Rowan, actually enjoying this unexpected opportunity to avenge her loss. SCUV’s security team comes rushing into the picture. Elias is armed with a fire extinguisher and puts out the trash can fire while Lindsay and Alix separate Hanalei and Rowan. Rowan is bleeding from the mouth but is laughing anyway. Hanalei just looks fired up and ready for more.

CUT TO: INT. BACKSTAGE HALLWAY - THE ULTRAVIOLENT COMPLEX - CONTINUOUS
Ashtyn Rave stands against the wall, leaning over and arm twisted behind her, rubbing her lower back. She was in a little bit of pain after Aliyah dived on her, and landing on a number of chairs. Ashtyn powered through the match, though, and came out victorious. She straightened up, her free hand pushing her hair out of her face - to see Julian Cortez standing in front of her. He had a smile on his face and his hands in his pant pockets.
JULIAN CORTEZ "Good job out there, mija."
ASHTYN RAVE "Thanks."
Is all she could reply with, his presence catching her off guard.
JULIAN CORTEZ "I knew it was a good idea bringing you from el Cartel de Lucha Libre." Smile again. "There's big things in your future, mija. Big things. Believe me."
And with that, Julian walked away. He had a great deal of interest in the next match, as should everyone.

MAIN EVENT - Jack Owyns vs. Noah Reigner vs. Alexei Smirnov All three men have entered the ring with the entire San Diego crowd on their feet, cheering – chanting and screaming. Jack Owyns, Noah Reigner and Alexei Smirnov all stand in respective corners, eyes focused on each other. When the bell sounded, immediately Reigner ducked out of the ring much to the chagrin of the crowd who instantly began to boo him. Smirnov watched him inquisitively, taking his eyes off of Jack Owyns which was a major mistake. Owyns quickly moved behind Smirnov and began clubbing the bigger athlete in the back. The shots didn’t have very much effect, though. Smirnov managed to turn himself around and bring a well-timed knee up into Owyns’ stomach, doubling the former King of California over. He brought another knee up, this time right into Owyns’ face. Owyns staggered back momentarily before Smirnov reached out and grabbed him by the arm, whipping him across the ring to the far turnbuckle. Smirnov lowered his head and shot into a sprint, following Owyns into the corner. He leapt, looking for a stinger splash – but Owyns moved out of the way.
Smirnov hit the turnbuckles hard. Owyns ducked out of the way of that, but couldn’t move to avoid the “Rocket Kick” by Noah Reigner. Reigner slid back into the ring during the attack, and timed his kick perfectly. Running and hitting Owyns with a single leg dropkick after he moved out of the corner. Reigner returned to his feet, bouncing around with an arrogant smile on his face. He turned around to the corner where Smirnov was, only to be caught with a spear that he calls the “Lightening Charge”. The impact nearly tore Reigner in half. Reigner rolled into the far corner, clutching his ribs. Smirnov shot back to his feet, eyes focused on Reigner. He turned around and caught “The Villainous Knee” flying Muay Thai knee to the head from Jack Owyns! Smirnov crashes to the mat. All three men have just hit signature moves and the fans are absolutely hooked in this even three way battle right now.
Reigner pushes himself up to his feet, still clutching at his ribs. Owyns turns to Reigner and throws a right hand, connecting with Reigner’s head. Reigner fired one back at Owyns. The two traded shot for shot, both were matched evenly in the striking power as each shot took more and more time for the other to regain composure. Owyns, however, landed one – and then another – and then another, his speed being used to his advantage here. Reigner ate punch after punch, then a spinning back kick to the stomach. Reigner doubled over and was immediately put down with a snap DDT from Owyns. Owyns pushed back up to his feet, and turned to Smirnov who was waiting with a stiff kick to Owyns’ knee. Kick, chop, kick, punch from Smirnov – backing Owyns up to the ropes. Smirnov pulled Owyns away from the ropes, and showcases his power by lifting Owyns up in a Gorilla Press. He spun in a circle, Owyns held high above his head. And just like that, without any notice, Smirnov dropped Owyns who landed and crashed hard.
With Owyns landing hard, and Reigner still reeling from the DDT – Smirnov moves to the ropes and climbs out of the ring. He bends down and reaches underneath the apron, pulling out a series of weapons. Steel pipe, baseball bat and a “Stop” sign. In the ring, both Owyns and Reigner begin to pull themselves together and up to their feet. Smirnov tosses all of the weapons into the ring before taking his time and climbing up onto the ring apron himself. After climbing into the ring, Smirnov grabs the baseball bat and moves to Reigner, who sits on his knees with his back to Smirnov. Smirnov holds the bat in both hands, one on either side of the weapon, and brings it underneath Reigner’s chin and applying pressure to the throat, choking him. He applies a great deal of pressure to Reigner, who tries his best to move the bat but to no avail. His natural instinct is to reach out for the ropes or something to help, but nothing is nearby and even if it were, nothing would help.
Nothing, unless it happened to be Jack Owyns. Owyns picked himself up and grabbed the steel pipe that Smirnov threw into the ring. Owyns approached and struck Smirnov with the pipe. A direct shot to the small of the back with it. Smirnov dropped the bat around Reigner’s neck and moved his hands to clutch his back. He spun around to be hit with the pipe once again, this time in the stomach. Owyns wore a devilish grin as he watched Smirnov double over in pain. He allowed Smirnov to stand up fully before hitting him one more time with the pipe – a shot to the head with it. The impact makes Smirnov stumble back a couple of steps and right through the ropes and to the outside of the ring. Owyns dropped the pipe, looked down to Reigner who collapsed to the mat, and then down to Smirnov. Owyns followed the bigger athlete to the outside of the ring, climbing out and circling the crawling Serbian fighter. Owyns grabs Smirnov by the head and pulls him up just enough to bash his head off of the steps.
Smirnov bounces off and moves to the railing. Owyns follows him, only to get a reactionary kick to the stomach from Smirnov. Smirnov lunges forward, hitting a stiff lariat on Ownys, planting the defending King of California to the floor. Smirnov doesn’t waste time, lifting him up and immediately putting him back down with a snap scoop powerslam that he calls “Crvena Zvezda” or the “Red Star”. Smirnov smirked and taunted the crowd momentarily before bending forward, lifting Owyns' limp body up and rolling him into the ring. Smirnov took his time climbing up onto the apron before entering himself, then he dropped down to make a cover on Owyns.
One...two...kick-out! Owyns kicked out at two! Smirnov became angry and violently pinned Owyns again, but just like before, Owyns kicked out at two. Meanwhile, Reigner began to stir a little, climbing up to his feet. That was when he grabbed Smirnov by the back of his head, pulling him off of Owyns. In a quick. fluid motion Reigner bent down and hoisted Smirnov up onto his shoulders.
BAM! D.B.R! THE DEATH BY REIGNER!
Noah nailed Smirnov with that devastating One-Handed Electric Chair Driver! Noah dropped down and hooked the leg, but before he could get a pin, someone pulled Reigner out of the ring! It was Reece Crosslin! Crosslin getting revenge for earlier in the night, pulling Reigner to the outside and hitting him with a hard lariat to take him down. Jack Owyns pushed himself up to his knees and picked up the scraps that Reigner left. He’s going to steal the damn match! The referee dropped down and made the count!

WINNER: Jack Owyns [10:33]

VOICE (O.S) "Congratulations, amigo."
Julian Cortez has walked out through the curtain and stood at the entrance way. Jack Owyns has now made his way to feet and leans against the ropes looking up at the owner of the company. Noah and Reece are continuing to fight, but now have made their way into the crowd and are steadily disappearing. All focus is on Julian at the moment.
JULIAN CORTEZ "With your victory, Jack, you have made your way to the next round of the King of California tournament and joining you there will be Ashtyn Rave, Rowan Blackwood and Trixie"
The fans cheer the winners of their respective matches. Julian doesn't allow their interruption to stall him anymore than a couple of seconds.
JULIAN CORTEZ "But. For Asylum Two, I have decided that I will be offering out a few second chances to a select few. One of those men being Reece Crosslin who was robbed by Noah Reigner. The other's being Micaela Preszak, Sydney Hilton and Aliyah Turner. These four will face off in a second, and last chance for a spot in the finals."
Another cheer from the crowd, especially after hearing favorites Reece Crosslin and Aliyah Turner are getting another chance in the tournament.
JULIAN CORTEZ "Amigo, you have a long, hard road ahead of you if you want to successfully defend your crown as King. I wish you and the rest of the competitors good luck."
And with that, Julian walked to the back, leaving Jack Owyns in the ring to end Asylum One.
